DotW: What I Once Was

Nyru has accomplished more than I ever expected her to as a character within the group. When I first created her, I wanted to try something different -- play a character that, for all intents and purposes, would not survive in a harsh and violent world due to her passive and gentle nature. What could happen to her? Would she be devoured by the world, or find a way to overcome it? And yet she's managed to do that and more over the course of almost two years of growth. 

From the book of Quaylak, dated May 27th, 2015: "...her mother's voice reminded her of a harsh truth -- it was unlikely that she would ever find another wolf who was interested in her. She was not like Dahlia and stayed within the den, which was why their escapes together at night were so freeing. Her sister was strong and was becoming a powerful fighter -- unlike Nyru. She would go on to experience things Nyru would only dream of, or so her mother had made clear."

It looks like both Nyru and I were very wrong about that last part. Who would have known she'd become so strong and capable of so much?

Just a little piece and tribute to Nyru, who has become as close to me as Quaylak the last couple years. She's in good, full health here (not a canon scene, unfortunately) as she reflects on all she has overcome since arriving in Vale. I believe she is somewhere on the coast? Why not!
