DotW: Icebreaker

From one of Vale's Winter Solstice prompts: "Whether you spend the night laughing and sharing stories with your pack-mates or dancing gracefully across the ice..."

There was nothing "graceful" about Nyru taking to the ice after Kyros invited her out for some fun. Instead, the normally well-coordinated Beta stepped out and, for lack of a better description, busted her ass. Her legs splayed and rear bobbed up and down as she tried to regain some shred of footing. Her clumsy efforts only accelerated her across the slippery ice and her hysterical laughter at her predicament made it even harder for her to focus on righting herself. Had it not been for Kyros stepping in to slow her down and let her regain her composure, she may have continued bobbing up and down and laughing all the way to the other side of the lake!


I'm going through one of those "hate my style" phases, so I decided to kinda let loose and try something a bit more....toony? I dunno what you'd call it, but I definitely felt less inhibited for some reason working on this, so that was good! I haven't drawn in weeks and have artwork piling up that I need to do, so I did this cute little illustration for fun and to try and get back in the groove. I have no idea where the idea for the scene came from -- I guess I just couldn't imagine Nyru "gracefully dancing across the ice" for some reason, haha. So instead, I thought I'd draw something more fun and cute with Nyru laughing at herself and obviously still having a great time, even if she's clearly no ice skater!

So this is for Nyru's December MSE! And any excuse to draw Kyros is always good, too. :3c
